Jose Ramirez

Here is a 3 team idea.

We get Jose Ramirez and Blake Parker (or other low value reliever if Parker is a FA)

Angels get Adrian Houser

Indians get Jo Adell, Brice Turang, and 2 lower level pitching prospects (1 from us, 1 from LAA)

CLE would say 'No' with Turang.

CLE has (depending on the ranking service) 3 #100 SS prospects higher than Turang at AA/AAA already. Those prospects are Gabriel Arias, Brayan Rocchio & Tyler Freeman.

Yes Turang has value but with that talent logjam already in CLE, Turang gets a better return from another organization. IF you indicated Mitchell instead of Turang, CLE might be open and engage in some talks.

Additionally, yes Blake Parker is a FA. I am guessing either Parker or Bryan Shaw (another FA) returns to CLE on a minor league deal with spring training invite (& inside track to making the club to start the next season)..

Three year splits make Adrian Houser a 1.1 bWAR/fWAR player. Jo Adell may be a disappointment so far, but not so much that the Angels are going to trade him for an annual 1.1 WAR pitcher.

The Twins got 2 top end prospects for Jose Berrios, Houser doesn’t quite have the track record but take away a bad start in 2020 and they aren’t to far away. Houser is also way less expensive. I think selling high on Houser or Lauer is a good idea.

Maybe Houser, Mitchell, and a mid tier prospect or 2 for Jose Ramirez could be close.

I don’t mind the idea of trading Wong if we get Ramirez. It would help clear some money if we can’t get a taker on JBJ or Cain.

I wonder if the Blue Jays would trade for Ramirez if they would then be open to trading Biggio?

Biggio is basically a younger version of McNeil which others have stated they would like to acquire.  Biggio really wouldn't have a spot to play for the Brewers now but once Wang's contract is over there would be a spot open.  At worst the Brewers could play Urias and Biggio all over the infield and outfield.

Maybe something like:

Brewers get:

Biggio (BlueJays)

Sandlin (Guardians)

BlueJays get:

Ramirez (Guardians)

Mitchell (Brewers)

Guardians get:

Groshans (BlueJays)

Moreno (BlueJays)

I think the Guardians would prefer a quantity over quality but that is hard to do as the majority of the prospects with value are SS's which the Guardians already have a lot of.  If the Guardians want more quantity over quality then the teams don't really match up.
