Upcoming rotation

Running that same pitcher into the ground by the end of August is also not a good plan.

Nobody is recommending running him into the ground.

You can’t have it both ways. And the Brewers continue to prove your thoughts wrong as to how they are managing their arms. Take a break for a bit and enjoy the show.

I call BS on your statement that I want to run Peralta, or any pitcher, into the ground. All I have said is that, if you want to limit pitchers’ innings, it can be done while still having your best pitchers facing your main division rivals as often as possible and timing their skipped starts around them.

Why don’t you take a break from your high and mighty criticism of other people’s opinions and how they choose to comment? If I weren’t enjoying the show I wouldn’t be taking the time to comment on it.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

You’re just doubling down on your bad opinions is all. You’ve been wrong about just about everything. You’re entitled to your opinion but I’m also entitled to continuing to show how wrong it’s been.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

If you say so.

From The Athletic today

"Interestingly, the Brewers will no longer use a six-man rotation, even though Adrian Houser started Friday and lefties Eric Lauer and Brett Anderson are the probable pitchers for Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Instead, Counsell alluded to skipping starts, shortened starts or using tandems.

“We don’t need six starters,” Counsell said. “There’s some guys I really feel like we should keep on every five days here, and we’ll continue to do that.”"

I’d say BruisedCrew is in line with what CC is thinking here. Kudos. Great to hear from a fan who thinks for himself, regardless of the noise.

I know it's still only July, but it's nice that the Brewers have a big lead at this point in time, and some of their division rivals may be in sell mode soon. That allows them to do what they think is best health-wise for their starters without as much worry that losing one game could cost them the playoffs.

"The most successful (people) know that performance over the long haul is what counts. If you can seize the day, great. But never forget that there are days yet to come."
