Box is our #3 and AT LEAST half the league would love to have his production as their #1, particularly our current opponent and competition for the division championship.

Boxberger has a whip of 1.13 and and era under 3. He has struck out something like 48 and 37 innings. Why on earth does he get so much hate on here?

"Here" Just isn't true. Perhaps a poster or two who hate on everybody. Keeps the board interesting and interactive, I guess.

Literally every time he comes in there are post(s) about how bad he is and how he will probably give up some runs

Yep. It’s been pretty consistent all season long. I called it out once before as well. It’s ridiculous. Stats are easier to find these days than ever. This isn’t that hard.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Could be a bigger injury for the Reds depending on what it is.

Give me Strickland and possibly Cousins and Sanchez (need to see a little more from them) as the number three option in the bullpen.

An abundance of riches! I don't disagree. We have a great bullpen that I wouldn't trade for anybody else's in the league, bar none.

Yeah, but he looks like my dentist. No tats, no hair, no scowl... not a good reliever

Boxberger has 37 innings pitched as a Brewer this season. Strickland, Cousins and Sanchez have 28 innings as Brewers combined. All three have looked good so far, but that is the definition of a small sample size.

I was with you on the first part. Then you totally lost me on the second part. There are not 15+ teams that would use Brad Boxberger as their closer/#1 option in the pen. That's a major exaggeration. He's been very solid for us and I'd pretty much leave it at that.

Our .132 hitting seldom used backup catcher has as many homeruns as Christian Yelich at the AS break. Jackie Bradley Jr. has more.

Jacob Nottingham, Adrian Houser and Eric Lauer have as many home runs combined as Yelich in 56 at bats.
