It really wasn't a bad call. The conspiracy theory stuff is silly. We're just frustrated. The getting tossed act would have been much appropriately utilized yesterday. The fact that Castellanos homered on the next pitch doesn't make a borderline pitch worse.

Those were strikes all game for Miley yesterday. Batter before broke up a no-hitter with a weak shift hit. Why does an ump bail out the batter on 2 strikes like that? Wasnt outside, right center low zone... It's BS to be at home and throwing games for the road team on borders of zone. While calling 2-3balls out of the zone for other team.

It was a terrible call.

No, it wasn't. It was a whisker below the zone, extremely borderline, could have easily gone either way. There's nothing other than pure frustrated emotion to justify saying it was a terrible call, unless you have some evidence to the contrary to present.

LOL

Right. Agreed it was a strike yesterday. But you can't expect the guy to call a bad zone just because the guy yesterday called a bad zone.

So you have none to present. Just clarifying.

This would be a logical argument if the home plate umpire last night was the home plate umpire again tonight. But he's not so I'm not exactly sure what point you're trying to make here.

We all know it’s not but the zone should be the zone.

If composure counts for anything the Reds are going to win the NL Central. Brewers whining over calls and making dumb decisions based on emotion (Yelich whining, Narvaez trying to score) the Reds are just playing.

My evidence is this entire series; but I suppose we're all just being emotional. Is that the response you would like to hear each time you whine in these in-game threads (of which, you're the biggest participant)?

Both the zones from Thursday and Friday were terrible but you want to act like you're being reasonable by acting like tonight's zone isn't equally terrible? Hence my LOL.

That's an ok send with 2 outs. Takes 2 good throws. Take a chance.

I get that the overall umpiring has been bad this series. I get that we as fans are frustrated. But dude didn't blow the ball/strike call to Castellanos. I complain about umpires all the time -- when it's justified.

It's ridiculous and undermines your entire credibility every time you complain about umpires if you cry "terrible call" on a call that literally can be visually proven to not be a terrible call.

If the zone should be the zone then everyone should agree that the pitch to Castellanos was a ball.

I can live with borderline balls being called balls.
