Somebody should tell Bill that Burnes slider lost that downward tilt about the same time the crackdown started……..he seems befuddled by it for some reason.

BAs are up 7 points since the crackdown

Burnes xFIP before June 3 was 1.89

After June 3... it is 2.76

When Burnes's spin rates on his cutter were nearly 2900 (through his 5/25 start), opponents hit .154 (14-91) on that pitch. Since that time, his average spin rate on the cutter is 2678 and they've hit .305 (25-82).

Urias has shown a surprising amount of power this year. He just turned 24 last month. Could he be this team's 3B of both the present and future?

Absolutely. And they should be going in that direction. Urias-Adames-Wong-Telles/Hiura and away we go.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Among current Brewers, Jace Peterson had by far the most at bats against deGrom coming into today (21 AB), and now has 6 career hits against deGrom (including 2 doubles and a home run).
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Maybe Jace Peterson is actually a good ball player? I mean he was a 1st round pick. Maybe things have just clicked? That’s what I’m going with anyways.
