Last year's limited five-round draft certainly a factor in the international heavy lineup.

Box: AZ Angels 6, AZ Brewers Blue 5

Third baseman Jheremy Vargas only turned 18 in May. What a professional debut, home run in his first at bat, followed by three singles. Vargas signed for $650,000 in 2019.

RF Larry Ernesto, in his 3rd pro season and 2nd in Maryvale, doubled among his three hits.

Besides Vargas, the only professional debut: 18-year-old C Blayberg Diaz.

Stateside debuts: RHP Brailin Rodriguez (18), RHP Rafael Garcia (20), 2B Carlos Roa (19), and SS Eduardo Garcia (19 later this week),

LHP Karlos Morales, 21, the 2017 25th round pick out of a California high school, begins his 4th season in Maryvale.

The most experienced player in the game had the roughest outing -- recently signed Phillies 2016 12th round pick RHP Justin Miller gave up three runs in the walk-off 9th inning.

They actually have the attendance listed on the box score...

It was 11.
