After 3 consecutive 1-run losses, Justin Bullock (3-1 record in 4 Wisconsin starts) takes the mound to reverse the Timber Rattlers’ recent fortune:

It's been a rough season so far for RHP Braden Webb, who was brought in earlier than usual in the 7th. It didn't go well.

Old friend Devin Hairston has only a .615 OPS on the season, but he capped the night with this blast off Cody Beckman

Mudcats End Skid With 16-4 Victory in Fayetteville

Gray, Campbell and Nnebe all homered as Carolina ended a seven-game losing streak in Fayetteville

Taking out frustrations on this night!

How impressive to read that Joe Gray, Jr. leads all of MiLB in RBI. It's still a key stat in that context, sabermetric types.

Alex Hall knocks in two to get things started

That looked like fun, so Ashton McGee does the same

Joe Gray-test

Noah Campbell goes deep (scroll down as he rounds 3rd base)

Highlights from a ten-run frame? Sure!

At 6'6", and a ripped 230, Andre Nnebe is a specimen - Maybe the Carolina Panthers should be watching!

Let's get my Cape Cod League acquaintance RHP Joey Matulovich to Wisconsin already

At some point in his pro career, just-turned 22-year-old switch-hitting catcher Alex Hall will be an affiliate's primary catcher, and then folks can join me in taking note.

He essentially repeated Wednesday's game in AAA. Ugly.

Mitchell continuing to rake. Someone buy him a ticket to Biloxi.

Alex Hall is starting to show up down at Carolina. A solid switch-hitting catcher would be sweet.

He's overshadowed by the other catching prospects but he is a decent prospect in his own right. Maybe not a starter but could have a long career as a backup.

What more needs to be said about Joe Gray? He’s been lights out. He’s got to be a top ten prospect in the system now. High draft pick who is maturing and putting it together. Good example of letting all prospects marinate for awhile before you even think about trading one. He’s got a ways to go, but he’s showing excellent signs.

I was very surprised to see that he's listed at 5'8", 161. Shocked that a catcher is that small.
