The 30-16 Nashville Sounds stay home this week, taking on the 18-29 Louisville Bats. Bowden Francis takes the mound tonight, looking to return to form after one rough start, while Hernan Perez returns from Olympic qualifying duty:

The 22-25 Wisconsin Timber Rattlers hit the road this week against the 23-25 Beloit Snappers, led by the exciting David Hamilton (31 SB in just 42 games):

Blue Wahoos Beat Shuckers In Series Opener

Turang Registers 15th Multi-Hit Game For Biloxi

By Garrett Greene

That's eight losses in a row for the 15-33 Shuckers.

Organization not providing a lot of support -- despite the return of Alexander Palma, there are only 11 position players on this squad (don't count Lucas Erceg here, as he pitched in this one, as you saw in the box).

And other than backup catcher Brent Diaz in this one, the only other bench player was infielder Tyler Friis, who exited his last game early on Saturday June 26th.

I can understand wanting to pace the promotions from Wisconsin and Carolina, but certainly expected something for Biloxi coming off the off-day. C'mon, @BrewersPD!

Hang in there, guys, but Biloxi fans may not wish to read just below...

As if Max Meyer Tuesday night (see video) wasn't enough vs the struggling Shuckers --

Pensacola News Journal:

The Blue Wahoos are sending another heralded prospect, Edward Cabrera, on the mound Wednesday for the first of four post-game fireworks nights, followed by Jake Eder on Thursday. It’s a trio that is among the top of minor league baseball with earned run averages and overall performance.

“It’s really fun to watch these guys (Cabrera, Eder),” said Meyer, the No. 3 overall selection by the Marlins a year ago out of the University of Minnesota.

“Us three kinda rolling out back to back to back,” he said. “We kind a feed off each other and we all have pretty good stuff so you are able to see how to throw to the teams we are facing. And really, good guys, too.”
