Assuming this 6-run lead holds up for the victory, the Brewers will improve to 16-1 in their last 17 day games.

Calf soreness not oblique. Phew…

I thought so too until I Googled “calf strain recovery”

I was traveling today and couldn’t see the game but saw that Wong left with a leg injury.

If they’re saying calf strain, that’s what they said when Trout was injured and he’s been out almost 2 months. Hopefully this isn’t that serious.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Just so completely confused by Yelich. Almost no power, still drawing a ton of walks and making contact pretty consistently.

You guys are on a roll today.

I believe I have the power to anti-jinx every player. See my Hiura post after.

I thought that was my job?

I was at the game today and I have a couple of obersations. First, Huira, to me still seems somewhat lost at the plate. I realize he got a hit but he also struck out twice and seemed to still be swinging right through middle, middle fastballs.

Second, it seemed like Yelich is getting some of his swagger back. He had a homer, a single, and just missed another homer. I realize that the Rockies pitching staff is not great but it was good to see Yeli barrel up some balls.

Finally, as good as he is, it appears as though it's tough to keep Wong on the field. Has he always been injury prone?

Counsell says the hope is that Wong's calf issue is just a cramp. Will be reassessed tomorrow. Probably won't play but hope is that it's not bad.

Just a cramp and a day off would be great news.

I nice to see guys like Cousins and Sanchez off to a nice start in the pen. This might allow David to bypass trading for a reliever ? However I still think he going to add another Vet arm. I also think he looking to add another bat.
