Standings and sortable stat pages

***

MiLB.TV options: All games available, only Carolina is on the road. Carolina's host, Down East, does not provide MiLB.TV video.

The MiLB.TV direct links for the others are found within the scoreboard link atop this post.

***

Greg Young is not traveling for Carolina road games this season.

When an opponent does not provide video, like Down East this week, there is no on-air Mudcats audio broadcast.

Down East does provide home audio, so if you are a friend or family member of a Mudcats player, for instance, that's how you can follow the game beyond just a Gameday/Box Score perspective.

Going to the Timber Rattlers game tonight, first time I am making the trek north with the family since like 2012-2013. Hope the rain holds off just enough. Want to see Mitchell, Howell and Cantrelle in person. Got nice seats right behind the Rattlers dugout. My boys are pumped.

Awesome. Post some pics if you are able.

Box: Charlotte (White Sox) 4, Nashville 3

Pre-Game Media Notes

Sounds Late Comeback Falls Short

Corey Ray Doubles Twice, Drives in a Run for Nashville

Corey Ray was replaced in CF to start the 6th inning. He was called out on strikes on to end the 5th but there's no note of an ejection. Something to keep an eye on...

TWEET: Jeff Hem on Aaron Ashby's relief stint

TWEET: Jandel Gustave takes the loss in his first Brewers appearance, our old friend from the Power 50 days was watching

Cooper Hummel on base twice more, .444 OBP and 1.121 OPS after 65 AB's.

Bobby Wahl's 40-man spot status might best be described as tenuous next time one is needed, given the success of younger options Cousins and Sanchez with the big league club.

Box: Montgomery (Rays) 13, Biloxi 10

Shuckers Fight Back In 13-10 Defeat

Biloxi and Montgomery Play Longest Nine-Inning Game In Shuckers History

By Garrett Greene

It was 11-0 Biscuits heading to the bottom of the 3rd, oh my (again). But credit for fighting back, as you just read in the details above.

After a demotion and this starting outing, we can say the Khris Davis trade has officially reached its lowest point.

MILB.TV Subscribers: Go to the 42:20 minute mark in the top of the 1st. A ground ball kicked up and caught second baseman Tyler Friis in the face. He walked off with the trainer and a bloody towel.

Brice Turang on base four times, as was Cam Devanney (Friis' replacement). Devanney was the lone non-catcher bench option (Alexander Palma still away with Team Venezuela).

Box: Down East (Rangers) 14, Carolina 2

Pre-Game Media Notes

Nine Run First Too Much in 14-2 Loss

Zavier Warren went 1-for-4 in the loss, but ran his hitting streak to nine straight games

***

My goodness, even the 28-17 Mudcats can't avoid the recent "huge early deficit syndrome" in the organization.

As his game logs show, LHP Brendan Murphy has been solid, and occasionally spectacular, so this clunker was out of the norm for sure.

Don't worry about the late exit from the DH spot of the amazing 20-year-old Felix Valerio. It was prompted by the insertion of position player Ashton McGee on the mound.
