I agree with that. Watching Alabama soak up a roster that has a 3-deep bench that is better than starters than most other Power 5 schools is really disheartening not just as a fan of a school like WIsconsin, but as a college football fan in general. Alabama is in the title game for the 7th time in 8 years. That's dumb. And boring. We all knew Cincinnati had no chance today, but we hoped. Hoped the ball would bounce funny 3-4 times and give them a chance to just make a play at the end.

Like you said, I don't know how they can change it (they likely can't), but I don't even care as a Wisconsin fan that they'll likely only ever have a ghost of a shot at getting in the playoff......what I care is that as a fan of College Football, it's the SAME teams every single year, and this is getting super, super, super boring.

I don't think an extended playoff necessarily has to have new blood in the final game to have meaning and be fun. For example, a 6 teamer with Bama and Georgia getting a bye first round would have been cool. Michigan and Cincy would have been a great game.

More playoff games means more chances for upsets. Alabama loses sometimes, giving them a 3 game path instead of 2 can’t hurt.

Glad to see the Harbaugh’s getting rolled.

+1.. I'm glad to see harbaugh getting rolled as well.

I don’t turn on a semifinal game to see a lopsided game that requires a near-miracle to be competitive. But it’s not even like Michigan and Cincy were the wrong choices, there were simply no teams in college football capable of winning those semifinal games.

On one hand, the CFP has sucked with most games being blowouts, however on the other hand it's not like the better seeded team always wins. Using the old method we would have ended up with a Alabama Michigan Championship so at least we got saved from that

To be fair, Georgia was 7.5 point favorites. The only reason Michigan was the "2 seed" was they came into the game on a conference championship win, and Georgia just got manhandled by 'Bama.

True, but using the old BCS formula it would have had Michigan as 2 over Georgia as well. I think the playoff got it right this year, there were 4 team who deserved a chance to play for a title and all 4 got a chance to prove it on the field.

So Jack Coan is torching OK St in their bowl game. Jack seems like a smart kid, is it possible he saw Mertz look awesome in practice and said "Well, I better bail because I won't be starting." I don't think he transfers if he sees Mertz play like butt in practice.

Word is that Coan and/or his family wanted a commitment from PC that Coan would be the starter and PC wouldn't make that commitment. I read that as PC is not the type of coach who will guarantee anyone a starting spot the next season.

Utah is probably the 3rd best team in the country right now

I hope Chryst is taking notes because Utah is exactly how Wisconsin should play on offense and defense.

If there was a 12 team playoff they’d have a chance to prove it. The expanded playoffs would be more about 3-12 than 1-2. We may well end up with Georgia Bama every year still, but there would be a lot of good football on the way and 8 other fan bases across the country get meaningful football games.

Run on 3rd and 7 from the 8 yard line? No thanks

I would not be heartbroken if an NFL team came calling for Day.

He's probably a better game day coach than Urban.

I can't stand looking at his fake black beard. Just go gray, dude.
