Brandon Woodruff Appreciation Thread

The home grown ACE has really come into his own. Model of consistency this year. Like a poster said in the in game, it’s nice to see CC allow him to go deeper into games. Currently averaging 6 1/3 inning per start. Only opening day (4in) has he worked less than a full 5 innings.

All that with allowing 1.89 era, 0.76 whip.

Almost half of his Runs Allowed (20) have come from homers (9). Cut those down and he’d be that much better. Doesn’t allow many hits…roughly 4 per game.

His career high in innings for a year is 121 back in 2019. Will be interesting to see how/if that plays a roll. Like some have said, he ain’t a pup and is a grown man.

His batting is a career worst….but I think we can live with that.

His career high in innings was 158 in 2016. Innings are usually a concern for young pitchers and those coming off major injuries. As years have gone on the whole innings limit/concern isn’t what it once was anyway.
