BF.Net Softball Team of 2007. Players Sign in Please.

brewerjamie15

I just got an information package in the mail from the County Rec. Dept., and it's time to start thinking about registering for the upcoming season. We need to sign up earlier this year so we have our spot saved.

Everything remains the same from last year:

League is MS-385

Sijan Field

Thursday Nights: 7:00/8:00/9:00 P.M.

All players from last year's team have an automatic spot for the 2007 team. I need to know at this time which ones of you will be on the team again and which of you guys won't be.

Slots left open by non-returning players will be filled on a first come first served basis.

If there is enough interest by new players, I will start another team for a different location and a different night. ( I have no details to offer at this point for team #2)

Player Fees for the established team will be figured out once I have the number of players. Figure on about the same $$ as last year: $24.00 non-resident of Milwaukee $12.00 for residents, and then game balls and team fee divided by # of players.

Post all replies or questions to this thread please.

If there were to be a Madison team, I'd need for someone out there to spearhead the thing. I have no clue as to how the recreation system is out there, or anything else.

I'd be happy to see a Madison team but I'd be of very little help in it due to my location.

I won't be able to play this year, as I am moving out of state in February. So my spot is open.

I had a great time last year, and I wish you guys the best of luck in 2007. I'll be checking out the results each week and rooting for the team! Have fun.

The number of rain-outs early in the season really stunk, as I think I only was able to make two of the games last year, missing three I think due to the weather.

So, if mother nature cooperates, you will indeed see more of me next year. I look forward to the practices as well, although I don't think you and I were ever at the same ones.

Given this weather, we could have practiced today.

I would love a Madison BF.net team! I've lived in Madtown for years now, and am both a MSCR (Madison School & Community Recreation) player and umpire. MSCR is the league in Madison.

I think it'd be cool to start up both a men's and co-ed team in Madison, but I can understand if we can only get one together. Please don't hesitate to contact me. The season is far off, but the sooner I can get started, the better.

ALSO, let me know if we should start a thread devoted to just Madison-related softball. Thanks!
