I was on vacation all week so can somebody explain why the Brewers are in a six man rotation? I ask because I'm going to the game Sunday and the way things are playing out I'm going to see Lauer starting and I'm sick and tired of somehow always catching the #4 or 5 starter.

Basically they’ve used the 6th starter throughout the season whenever it’s needed due to lack of off days. They’ve committed to giving their starters 5 full days of rest between starts, so when they go on long stretches without days off they have to use the 6th starter to accomplish the 5 days of rest thing. The current stretch is 30 some days with only one scheduled off day.

Half the pen could qualify for "last arm" status. Outside of Hader there isn't a guy out there I would trust.

Not sure I agree with that on the last three. All are just as likely to have a bad game as a good one and Suter and Richards should be the back end. I'm sure Ashby will be up sooner rather than later and maybe Wahl can give them something but they need some help.

It’s easy to downgrade your own but this is simply not true going by the numbers. Richards has done a really nice job since the trade.

I don’t think it’s a bigger issue, but it is an issue. It will be a bigger issue than it is now if Woodrfuff and Burnes start delivering short starts on a regular basis.
