2021 ECF. Bucks vs Hawks: UPDATE - - - BUCKS IN SIX

I believe the teams set that but I wouldn't be surprised if the NBA is the one who sets it either. The players definitely don't have any control over what they are listed as each day. At least it is not the NFL with Belichick manipulating everything all the way to the last minute of who is injured, out, doubtful or whatever else there is in the NFL.

The Bucks would have won last night regardless of what happened to Young. It's a convenient excuse for Atlanta and their fans. That team can't beat the Bucks without Young scoring 50 points and even then, it's a toss-up. With their last breath, the Bucks left him all alone in the corner and he bricked a wide-open three. Giannis has a sore calf; these guys are 90 games in. They're all hurt to some degree.

Doesn’t both the NFL and NBA automatically list anyone on an injury report as “questionable”? Or at least real common to do it that way?

NBA teams have to report injuries although I don't know if there's a set criterion for questionable vs probable vs doubtful.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Did Young actually use the injury as an excuse for the loss? I'm no Young fan, but I didn't see that in any interview unless I just missed it.

I didn't hear anyone from Atlanta say anything other than it was frustrating and I heard Young say with the injury he couldn't use his speed to "blow by" defenders. That doesn't sound like an excuse for a loss, just an explanation of how the injury limited him.

Maybe not lost, but not really talked about here.... What an amazing performance by Paul George. I still think the suns are going to take that series, but Paul George has done everything he can to keep the clippers alive. If they win in LA and get it to game seven, we all know anything can happen.

We've gotten so lucky playing injured teams. It really does kinda feel like the Eastern Conference Title is going to be handed to us (granted Brooklyn was a hell of a fight).

Now it's a trap game....could totally see the Bucks lose this one

I'm disappointed. I think we were going to beat them in 5 anyway, and now they get an excuse, and everyone gets to poo poo Milwaukee for getting lucky. They had like an 11% probability of winning the series at this point with him playing. I know the injury happened during the game...but I really liked our odds of winning that game beforehand.

At the end, I don't care, and I'll take a championship for Milwaukee any way I can get it. But we woulda beat them anyway.

I guess pro athletes can beat other pro athletes, but I can't see the Bucks losing this one. They are just totally outclassed without him on the floor.

There's been a lot of injuries in this playoff season. Kawhi, AD, Kyrie, Harden, to name a few. Everyone is playing hurt right now. The Bucks and Suns are pretty much the two healthiest teams (we're missing DDV of course), and if that's what brings us together in the finals, so be it.
