I really hope Burnes didn’t hurt himself there.

 

He hit the bag awkwardly and looked like he might have twisted his knee.

 

He might be too embarrassed or stubborn to show it right away, but I would be watching him closely to make sure he isn’t favoring something.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Why in the world does Burnes continually try to kick ground balls behind him with his heel. I’m sure it’s just a reaction, but it cost him runs in the 1st inning, and would’ve been a disaster again there if he would’ve been close enough to make contact with it.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Yeah I doubt he does it consciously, it's hard to stop an instinctive action.

I think the home plate ump is tiring. He’s starting to call strikes that he wasn’t calling an hour and a half ago in the first inning.

 

I hate being at games with this guy behind the plate because if your seats are behind the plate you can’t see his strike call, which is both delayed and with his arm in front of him.
