Peralta out and Castillo still cruising. Big advantage Reds.

Suter throwing to the middle of this order is frightening.

Except that Castillo's results so far this season indicate that wheels could (and likely will) come flying off at any time. He's been pretty terrible this season.

I listen to a LOT of different announcers from all over the place on MLB-TV (audio only). Levering and Grindle are actually my favorites, silly or not. And either one goes great with Uke.

Now, if we just had some reliable hitters....

Agreed on both counts. There are some very bad announcers around the league, but I don't think Grindle or Levering are among them. My only issue with the two of them is that I have a hard time distinguishing which is which when they're on the same broadcast.

Can we trade for players during the rain delay? Is Wes helms available?

You mean Miami Marlins legend Wes Helms?

I don't know, making frequent pop-culture/movie references was already tired 5 years ago, and the constant discussion of the catered food they eaten is probably designed to be entertaining but its more annoying than anything else.

51 pitches for Peralta to get through 3 innings and then a double to lead off the 4th meaning more stress. He might not see the 6th today.

Who would think that an offense with Jace Peterson batting 6th would have trouble scoring.

Oh.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

A lot of that is getting out of the first inning.

Garcia battling him to get him out of the game was critical even though he struck out.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

:laughing Seriously! I can barely tell them apart, by which I mean I can't really.

The Reds have the worst bullpen in baseball? Did I hear that right? How is that possible with Derek Johnson as pitching coach

Yeah, Jeff and Lane are a very good radio team. They're into the game, have good banter, and include stats well.

They both have a bit of a "broadcaster voice" thing going on, but that's very minor. Honestly haven't heard a better duo.
