No Ernesto Martinez again, hopefully he’s ok?

Ernesto’s likely suspended, though nothing has been announced. He and the opposing pitcher were tossed after fighting last week (bean ball immediately following a Joe Gray Jr. homer).

Gabe Holt may also be out after being replaced in the first inning of yesterday’s game.

Oh yes, that's right. Completely forgot about that!

Gray Jr. another triple. After today he should have a cool wRC+ of 200. Kid is just on fire. Also when was the last time we saw this much hitting in Carolina? In a league well known for being very pitcher friendly and tough on hitters.

While in Wisconsin....Hamilton flashing power this week and continuing to impress. Ward continues his hitting ways. Howell continues to do Howell things. Mitchell impressing since injury. What a fun offense. I need to get to a game before they head up!

Think our Power 25 will be looking a lot different in July! Some guys are really flashing that many of us weren't following too closely before! Love to see guys taking that step forward!

Looking forward to that, Gray/Ward/Howell were among the group receiving votes and not in the top 25, Hamilton barely at 24.

Aaron Ashby had a standard four days off prior to his first relief appearance here.

RH reliever Chad Sobotka's night -- BB, fielder's choice grounder (Hager error on the play), walk, HBP. Miguel Sanchez stranded two of his three inherited runners, nice.

Any number of position players in the box could be part of future moves -- like Jace Peterson, not overly exciting, but pretty fascinating.

From Sunday --

Nick Bennett was also back in Appleton on Saturday, so I'm guessing we'll see something about that in the transactions in the next few days.

Picking up stuff? False alarm?

Starting for Biloxi on Thursday.

He is leading the league in SLG @ 735. Guy in 2nd is 643

Despite the excruciating loss, we are so lucky to have Chris documenting all the madness. Like, this could have been a college-level essay.

I will say that I tend to associate the word "beanball" with the upper body.

Martinez was hit at what appeared to be just behind the back of his right knee/thigh.

That could possibly explain his absence rather than a suspension (which undoubtedly will be served as well).
