We watch them right down the middle on the 1st pitch every time. Kills me

I was thinking that as well, this game in particular. Seems like they should have caught on to the fact that he was grooving a straight fastball first pitch to get ahead in the count.

Yeah, DBacks are straight up getting ahead in the count on that first pitch gambling that we have the bat on our shoulders

Woodruff really battled with his fastball command today, but still managed to put an effective start together. He's the type of talent that even on his worst days, he's still better than probably 75% of MLB pitchers. Today was one of those days. A better lineup probably would have been able to take more advantage, but Woody pitched just fine in the end.

Maybe the Brewers could have a daily home game promotion called "be Keston for a day". They randomly pick one fan in attendance to play for Hiura. I don't think we'd see any difference in production and like the make a wish foundation you would make some fans wish come true. Since the won't make my wish come true and send Hiura to Nashville, at least they can make someone else happy...

Hoby vs. Pavin

Why pinch-hit Woodruff with Hiura? I believe Woody would have a better chance to get a hit over Hiura.

I'm more than happy not risking another ace pitcher of ours getting injured doing what pitchers aren't paid to do.

Woodruff didn't bring his best stuff (at all) today. Still pitching well enough to be competitive against a bad lineup, but this is as bad as he's looked all year. No fastball command.

If Arizona has a bad lineup, what does that make ours? I shutter to think.

The DBacks are scoring right at the league average of 4.34 runs per game, so I wouldn’t say they have a bad lineup.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

This Pavin Smith fellow sure would look good at 1B in a Brewers uniform.

A lot of guys would look good there. We're last in Wins Above Avg at 1B

Would it be accurate to say they’re first in Wins Below Average?

They really need to teach Dan V how to slide -my goodness

That butt down, feet in the air slide already has cost the Brewers a run in a replay in a previous game, and it could have really been costly there.
