I'm not sure the Twins would even trade Sano as the return would be really bad. I don't see many teams giving up much of anything from someone with this slash line: .193/.273/.437. A .700 OPS DH doesn't have much value if any at all.

 

A best case scenario for the Twins would be a Ray for Sano trade which would be a massive overpay by the Brewers.

 

Something more realistic would be Spanberger and a wildcard from the DSL.

 

Sano is just not the player he was during his rookie season. Basically you are trading for Hiura without the team control. Sano has the same warts as Hiura and wouldn't be an upgrade at 1B at best it is a wash at 1B between Sano and Hiura. Actually it looks like Hiura is trending on the same career path as Sano.
