The top of that T Rats lineup is sure something.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

The top of that T Rats lineup is sure something.

Ward's been really good as of late. I thought one of him, Howell and Abreu were going to break out two years ago. It looks like two of them might be doing it this year. Between Ward, Howell and Mitchell at Wisconsin and Gray down at Carolina, some of those toolsy outfield prospects are really hitting lately.

Incredible, the walks, the runs, the wins!

The eight position players in the box score (non-catchers) are the only ones who are healthy (non day-to-day).

If Kolten Wong has to hit the IL, Brewers may find a way to get Jace Peterson back on the 40-man and 26-man rosters.

RHP Thomas Jankins, who last pitched on 5/21, tossed an inning here. Manager Rick Sweet had mentioned that he would be back soon, but didn't indicate what the issue was there.

Tristen Lutz, hitless in his last 19 at-bats, got the night off.

Good to see Tyler Friis back at second base; he exited last Saturday's game after an awkward first base collision.

Boy, it's been rough for southpaw's Leo Crawford and Cody Beckman.
