I don’t see Woodruff finishing the 7th unless it’s a quick 1-2-3 inning. I wouldn’t think Counsell would want him going over 110 pitches.

Woody ain’t no young pup anymore. It’s good to see them allowing him to pitch deeper into games.

If we could trust our bullpen, no way Woodruff goes another inning with 98 pitches.

Worked out great though. 7 or 8 pitches? NICE!

I'm not liking Boxberger as the 8th inning guy... Not liking it one single bit.

Not a lot of options. Williams has pitched 3 of the last 4 days and he has worked hard in all of them.

I always hate seeing it rain in the late innings when the Brewers have a small lead. There’s the risk of a pitcher having trouble controlling a wet ball and funky things happening in the field. Grounders to SS could really be a challenge; it’s bad enough in perfect conditions.

This game has the same feel as the 2019 Wild Card game. Weren’t we up 2-0 going into the 8th in that game too? It was against Scherzer too.

It’s almost identical. It was 3-1 going into the last of the 8th and it was Woodruff vs Scherzer with HRs accounting for all of the runs. Woodruff only went 4 innings and Scherzer 5. Then Hader just couldn’t get that third out in the 8th.

I’m glad the Crew is getting out of town before Soto figures it out. He’s too good to be swinging it like that.

Wonder if there fans are saying the same about Yelich.

There he is! Great time for some insurance Narvaez.

I hope the Brewers don’t score again unless they push the lead up to 5 or 6.

I don’t want Counsell to be tempted to bring in Richards and then end up having Hader come in with the tying run at the plate already

I don’t get that thinking? At all. You always take more runs and a possibility of not using your best arm. Especially when you turn around and play an early one tomorrow. We are so dramatic around here with bullpen arms. Hell, Box has a WHIP under 1 and we think he stinks.

We are not perfect fans like you I guess...

Solid response. I just hope you’re doing okay with Hader allowing a base runner.
