I’ll only say this once today and leave it at that... I really like Adames’ swing. Early on with the Brewers he looks like such a better hitter than his previous stats indicate.

Agreed. If that develops into production on the field for Adames, it could be a long-term solution to the shortstop position.

Even better would be if Urias' hit tool also turns from potential into production. Then you've got a solid 2B/SS combo for after Wong's departure.

It's just weird. I've never seen a young player struggle like Hiura has. He gets more centercut pitches than anyone, but it's by design because he cannot hit pitches out over the plate. I guess I wish I know more and wish I could diagnose what's wrong with the swing and why it's missing these hittable pitches.

I'm much more wait and see. I really hate the high leg lift.

A lot of it is mechanical.

We need more Freddy Freeman like mechanics and much less movement and launch angle.

It works for some (Justin Turner) but its definitely tougher to get your timing right. Just imperative to get the foot down early.

There is far more that it hurts. Especially with todays pitching.

Bloop hit that should have been caught and a catcher’s interference error. Shades of Tuesday when the Brewers gift wrapped runs and played themselves out of the game.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Had no idea this was David Weathers' kid. I feel old.

Not sure if you're watching the broadcast but they showed a picture of David Weathers and his wife with infant son and Miller Park under construction in the background. Now that infant is on the mound pitching and Miller Park. Amazing.

Wait until this kid hits the Majors... 3rd gen to REALLY make you feel old

Right before the season MLB network had a segment of interesting names in one of the leagues, I think it was an amateur league of some kind for college players, not minors but I can't remember for sure. One of the kids listed was named Center Fielder. As best I could find it was not a relation to Prince's family though.
