Adrian Houser has been tough on these Padres hitters over their 39 plate appearances facing him. He has a .409 OPS against with 10 strikeouts while allowing just 5 hits and 3 walks.

This is the first time the Brewers have faced Ryan Weathers, but he appears to be a difficult southpaw to muster offense against. He’s gone more than 4.0 IP just once this season.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

It’s the first time in his career that Willy Adames has started a game batting 2nd in the lineup.

Interestingly in addition to Adames’ reverse home/road splits (211 points of OPS better on the road), Adames has been better against RHPs than LHPs (101 points of OPS better), and much better in night games than day games (169 points of OPS better). He sort of has the trifecta of weird reverse splits going. It could all be fluky, but it is over more than 1,250 plate appearances at this point.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

That has to be one of the worst line ups we have trotted out the last two years. I mean, jeez, it couldn't get much worse.

They're batting .209 as a team. Every combination is the worst lineup I've ever seen.

Yes, one starter in the lineup today has an average over .230, and four of the 8 starters are batting under .200 (JBJ, Hirua, Adames, Robertson)

Without Wong in the lineup that looks like a 15 strikeout game to me.

I'd like to go to a game but I just can't bring myself to do it when the odds are pretty high that I'll be lucky to see five hits and two runs.

I have taken a day off from watching 2 or 3 times this season.

Just a mental break is a good thing once in a while.

Most of the time I just have it on in the background this year.

Hard to watch this mess on a daily basis.

4 hitters batting under .200 in one line up.....facing a pitcher they've never seen with an ERA under 2.00.

If I were such a diehard fan I wouldn't even watch

Everyone one of us is a glutton for punishment

If I were such a _________, I wouldn't even watch.

I think that blank could be filled in with a lot of other descriptions for us

I’ll only say this once today and leave it at that... I really like Adames’ swing. Early on with the Brewers he looks like such a better hitter than his previous stats indicate.
