I'll take a stab at the lineup prediction. Looks way better than our previous lineups vs. LHP, and results couldn't be worse.

Wong

Cain

Yelich

Garcia

Hiura

Adames

Pina

Urias

Woodruff

So close. Forgot that Yelich hit a dinger yesterday, which requires him to sit today in CC's world.

2B Wong

CF Cain

LF Taylor

RF García

1B Hiura

SS Adames

C Piña

3B Urías

P Woodruff

I get that Yelich is going to need to be eased back in, but kind of a bummer that he's out of the lineup after hitting one 450 feet yesterday. Makes some sense against a tough lefty that they'd load up on righty hitters, though.

lol

ERA for teams faced to date:

SDP 2.59

LAD 2.99

MIA 3.39

STL 3.81

CHC 3.99

PHI 4.18

ATL 4.26

KCR 4.51

PIT 4.91

CIN 5.15

May be for in a bit of a shock going from the joys to Cincinnati to the lows of San Diego. I hope not.

I think I'd be happy with a split in this series.

+1. That would be a big win and would put the Brewers at 5-2 versus the Padres this year. Plus they would be at .500 exiting the series and heading into a June where they play a bunch of bad teams. Lots of June games versus the Tigers, Pirates, Dbacks, and Rockies.

If the Brewers are going to make a move, June is it.

Horrible called first strike on Hiura. Changed the rest of the at-bat.

I missed it live, but Gameday has it like an inch off the corner.

Sorry, but no need to make excuses for Hiura. It made it a 1-1 count, hardly a bad situation. He then swung at air on a belt high fastball and then swung at a ball closer to bouncing off the plate than it was the strike zone. He has no one to blame, but himself.

With the lefty pitcher it came in from the left so it should have been called a ball. Yes, 1-1 is not the end of the world and he swung at bad pitches, but he would have been at a 3-1 count and you never know what would happen.
