Lauer with 12Ks through 5 IP

1 K per 4 ABs is fine. if he can get his K rate under 30% and hit like he can hit he would be a stud

Francis Cruises Behind Plenty of Support in 7-2 Shuckers Win

Big Second Inning Propels Shuckers To Road Victory

By Garrett Greene

Nice win considering productive hitters Tristen Lutz, Luis Castro, and Payton Henry were on the bench for this one.

A chance for others to contribute -- six base hits (two doubles), seven walks, two HBP, 3-for-15 RISP. Not stellar, but seven runs scored (four unearned) nets the victory.

Rattlers Held to One Hit in 4-1 Loss to West Michigan

Dillard’s RBI Triple in First Inning is Wisconsin’s Only Hit

By Chris Mehring

AUDIO via the Rattler Radio Soundcloud: "Chris Mehring & Kyle Lobner gave manager Matt Erickson the night off after a difficult 4-1 loss to the West Michigan Whitecaps on May 20. The Rattlers offense was held to one hit, The Rattlers pitchers walked eleven. It was not a pretty game. But, there were some highlights...like Thomas Dillard's first pro triple and Arman Sabouri's performance out of the bullpen...."Get 'em tomorrow.""

Eleven combined walks and two HBP's by Rattler pitchers not pretty, but noted National Park Dude Sabouri shined.

Have to be impressed with the Bullock - Matulovich - Reifert - Guerrero mound combo.

Matulovich has fanned 23 in 10.2 IP, WHIP 0.66.

Reifert danced around five baserunners in two frames to keep his ERA at 0.00

It's a tiny sample size still, but Erceg has hit well so far this year. Walking more and striking out (a lot) less. and not just BABIP magic. Interesting how it's happening just as he's getting back on the mound too.

It's encouraging that Keston is getting results, not least of all from a confidence standpoint I'm sure. But the strikeout rate is still 36%, and a .667 BABIP isn't exactly sustainable. I wanna see it come down before getting him back up there. Then again I'm not watching his at bats, it's such a small sample that even getting squeezed by the ump a few times would have an impact. Some at bats that end up in a strikeout can have a lot of positives still, while some (most) won't. And it's not like we have a wealth of 1B options...

Aside from the small sample size with Erceg he is batting down a level which also might go a long way to explaining relative success. Still hopeful he can develop as a reliever and fit into the hits well for a pitcher category.

I meant 11 ks in 27 at bats in his time at Nashville. 41%.

Yes, not ideal.
