I thought Taylor got that one initially. I feel like my ability to judge home runs at Miller Park/AmFam Field is regressing.

I was browsing when the Braves went back to back and when I heard to sound I thought they were gone.

Watch most other teams hitters front foot on how far from the ground they lift them.

The Brewers by far have the most guys lifting the front foot at least a foot off the ground.

It leaves them extremely vulnerable to speed change.

This aint slow pitch softball where you have 5 seconds to judge the speed and get your feet set.

Not saying you don't have some lift and replace but keep the foot no more than 6 inches off the ground.

I worked with a lot of high school hitters and if you limit the movement and flatten the bat path you increase the chances for hard contact.

At this rate 100% capacity at AmFam is going to look just like 25% capacity. Who wants to even watch this in person?

I live in Appleton....I’ll just go watch the T Rats.

Same here. Live close, but don’t get to as many games as I would like.

100% with masks and no paper tickets behind a net at a field with a worse name where you can no longer carry in about anything with little hope of scoring more than a run or two while paying $200 for a family to sit in seats to watch a pitcher and catcher play catch for 300 pitches for 3 and a half hours.

That’s my worse take.... yet it’s all fairly accurate.

Their best player has played for about a week total, their opening day CF for 2 weeks and their #2 starter missed 25% of his scheduled starts.... and they have almost as many games played by the #3 and #4 catchers as the #1.

I mean, I cannot understand how they are still over .500.

Brandon Woodruff, Corbin Burnes, Freddy Peralta, Josh Hader, Devin Williams, and JP Feyereisen.

That's it. Everyone else is either average at best or hurt.

So what you're saying is a team built on pitching and defense..... has relied on its.... pitching and defense? Despite an absolute ton of injuries?

I mean pitching and defense is only going to get you so far. They're not going to sustain even their current winning percentage at this level of offensive production.

Agree with a lot but #1 no one is wearing masks and no one cares. #2. You can barely see the net.

But yeah, holy cow is the offense bad.

I’ve never been a “fire this guy” person but someone has to take the fall for this at some point. I don’t know if I’ve ever watched a major league team be so unbelievable incapable of anything productive at the plate for this long of a stretch.

So I just took a look at Arcias minor league stats. Im not sure I’m looking at the right thing. Can someone look at them and make sure I’m not seeing things.

Either he likes minor league pitching or a change of scenery did him good. Those are eye popping numbers!

He's a major league player. He should be hitting like that. If Hiura doesn't he's done.

He mashed AAA pitching in 2018 too...probably nothing to see there.

Imagine having a team that is smart enough to bunt your #5 hitter to get a run.

Normally I'm not an advocate of small ball but against us I think that's a good play. You don't need to go for a big inning to put the game out of reach against our offense. Plate a run or two, get the lead up to 3 or 4 and you'll be fine.

I would love to see if they fixed the problems with his front foot.

Fully expect Arcia to rake in Atlanta and finally look like a former top prospect while Urias replaces him as our new crapcake shortstop the next 4 years. That would sound about right.
