Here's the lineup for Game One of our Carolina Mudcats Doubleheader today.

Brendan Murphy (4th round draft pick in 2017, but largely injured since) gets his first start since September 2017. In his 2021 debut one week ago, he struck out 7 in 3 innings, giving up 1 hit, 1 walk and 0 runs:

Hiura has 2 doubles....and 2 strikeouts.

edit: JINX!

Hiura 2-3 with 2 doubles….and a strike out

I'm encouraged by the doubles.

If Hiura can not try to loft everything, and just concentrate on getting good wood on the ball... he'll be back to the 2019 form in no time.

VIDEO Tweet via the Sounds: HR Derby!

Red-hot Corner infielder (and RH bat) Zach Green did not play for the first time here (in Sounds' Game #8). Not that I'm causing speculation or anything.

No less then three MLB rehabbers in the starting lineup (Daniel Robertson, Derek Fisher, Jace Peterson), with Christian Yelich set to add to that list Friday.

Keston Hiura's 2021 Nashville debut (played first base, no errors) --

Doubled on a line drive to center on a 1-1 pitch

Struck out swinging on an 0-2 pitch

RISP: 3-for-8.

Lutz Go Crazy! Tristen's OPS at 1.224, and only five K's in 30 AB's.

Payton Henry's quest to start all 120 Shuckers games at catcher in 2021 still intact.

Late Peoria Rallies Beat Wisconsin

Rattlers fall 3-2 to Chiefs

By Chris Mehring

RISP: 1-for-8.

12 K's and one BB for the T-Rats, but it's going to be fun following David Hamilton all season.

On the flip side, 14 K's and four BB's for the three Wisconsin pitchers.

We see you, Reese Olson.

We miss you, Garrett Mitchell.
