Expecting a pitcher's duel. Will probably be like 10 -8 or something.

It would be nice if burnes sets the record against Molina, possibly on a called strike 3 where Molina once again spits on an umpire and chest bumps him. In addition to winning this game, naturally.

Based of the phrasing of the tweet, Maile has options left while Nottingham does not.

Exactly. Maile can be sent to Nashville this year and stay under Brewer control. Nottingham cannot without exposing him to waivers, which is exactly what they are in the process of doing. I'm sure the Brewers would prefer that Nottingham be their 3rd catcher too, but there's simply no room for three catchers on most MLB rosters.

It is ridiculous to see Flaherty (2.83 ERA) with a record of 6-0 and Burnes (1.53 ERA) at 2-2. I know that is an imperfect and somewhat arbitrary measurement, but that run support tho...

Two big questions today:

1. Can Burnes pitch at least 6 scoreless innings to keep the Brewers in the game, or will he be rusty after being out for a few weeks?

2. Will the Brewers be able to scratch out a run or two?

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

In 263 career plate appearances versus the Brewers, Flaherty has allowed a 254/319/466 batting line versus a career line of 202/278/346.

Brewers have had good fortune against him in the past. Not sure how this particular lineup who couldn't do anything against a bum like Gant yesterday is going to fare, though.
