The Brewers have put Carpenter (walk), Williams (walk), and Knizner (HBP) on base in important situations tonight. Those are all hitters you need to make prove they can do something against you.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

I just can't understand what has happened to the game of baseball in general. How can the sport continue to grow when basically every night is just strikeout after strikeout and zero runs being scored. The brewers are terrible but they are just a reflection of the game itself. It's bad baseball and more than anything else it's boring.

I guess that’s their problem the game is trying to work through. 1-0 pitching duels are great, the other half of the fans want to watch a 4 hour 8 to 6 game with a bunch of homers.

Pitchers giving up 2 hits in 10 innings isn't even good enough for this God awful offense.

Our pitching staff has to be nearly perfect night after night. It’s really depressing.

Freddy was perfect from a runs standpoint and it still wasn't enough.

I don’t like the odds of Boxberger keeping the ball in the park against both Goldschmidt and Arenado.

Like you can see into the future.

No, but I can see into the past and expect that the future will be similar.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I think he was complimenting you on your prophecy.

Just another example of the pattern that fits the vast majority of the games this season. With near perfect pitching, the Brewers have a chance to win, but too often even that isn’t good enough.

It really hurts to burn up the heart of the bullpen in a loss.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Boxberger is absolute crap. Like Matt Albers, he just needed some time to show it.

I’d be more upset, but my expectations for Boxberger have been so low from the beginning that I was a just pleasantly surprised he made it this far without many blowups.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Well the Brewers are going to lose a game in which they’ve outplayed the Cardinals. What’s new.

Outplayed nobody lmao

They squared up balls all night when the Cardinals made weak contact for the better part of the first 10 innings.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I have no real expectations for this team at the end of the season. I fully expect the Cardinals to go on some magical championship run while we watch highlights of a no-hitter from 32 years ago during rain delays. That seems to be our destiny.
