On paper the starting pitching matchup doesn’t look great for the Brewers, but hopefully they have a little Mother’s Day magic in them.

Today is the 17th straight game without a much needed day off. Starting tomorrow the Brewers have 3 off-days over the next 11 calendar days. Hopefully by the end of that stretch they’ll look a little healthier.

Leave the bases loaded again with less than 2 outs. Should have sent Shaw there. That throw was no where close.

.

Yeah that's not a great situational hold. With 1 out and the bottom of the order coming up you need to take a shot.

The problem is you don’t know the throw is going to be nowhere close when you have to make the decision……

No, you don't, which is why you have to base those decisions on the situation.

0 out, you should probably hold. But, probably not with 1 out.

The Brewers seem to love producing Mother’s Day Magic. How about a no hitter this year?

Per Adam McCalvy: The Brewers are 33-20 (.623) all-time on Mother's Day, best in MLB.

Would be nice to further improve the left column on that all-time record today.

I’m good with the decision. Urias has been pretty good in clutch situations like that….Brinson has a great arm and Shaw is slow.

2 outs you send him….not 1. IMO

If Lane would have sent him and he gets thrown out everybody here is roasting him.

Small sample size, but Lauer does look improved from last year. Getting strike outs, generally avoiding walks. If that holds, it’s a nice addition to the pitching staff.

Also, home runs are down.

Brinson playing well against the Brewers, and quite literally only the Brewers, is getting old.

Coming into today Brinson had a career .905 OPS against the Brewers (obviously even higher after today). He doesn’t have a .900+ OPS against any other team, and the only other one relatively close is the Dbacks (.886 OPS against). He’s been pretty much terrible against everyone else.
