Just because I’ve had people say recently it doesn’t really happen, but Nottingham is benched the game after hitting 2 home runs. For a team that is the worst or close to the worst offensively in all of baseball.

You have a guy who hits a home run or two and gets benched. Happened 3 times last year when a player hit two home runs in a game. Here is one again for the worst offense in baseball. Good play is not rewarded.

I get it... but the guy also just flew back to get to the team and caught a really long game all in a 24 hour period. Probably mentally good for him to take it easy for 24 hours?

Vogelbach has been terrible. I get why Keston was optioned, but not really sure why Vogelbach has been getting a pass. His bat is the only reason he has a roster spot.

I'm sure his time is coming, but with the IL being as extensive as it is. And Keston having an option available. He gets a passed right now. But once Derek Fisher gets healthy, I bet Derek slides into Billy's role of 5th OF while Billy takes over Dan's role, with more versatility

This has been said 1000 times over in various threads ... but boy would Ryan Braun at 1st base would be a really nice fit right now. If we are using Hiura and Vogs ... defense isn't going to be a plus as it is. I hope he is staying in shape and ready for a June 'call up'.

CC has said they plan out the lineups in advance…..just because Nottingham had a good day doesn’t really change who he is as a player.

I’m sure he and Maile will share time until Pina gets back.

I don't buy this.

Tomorrow's lineup is totally rigid and can't be altered based on who might be hot today, who might not be feeling great tomorrow, etc?

I think rumors of Cain's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Not feeling great sure……one replacement level player has a good day…. doubt they are going to give that much weight at all.

Because of his offensive prowess last year?

Houser is a reliever.

I agree he's a lot better reliever than starter, but he's probably ok as a #5. We just don't have 5 better options to push him to the pen where he belongs.

Could stand to add another starter before the deadline.

Depends what the alternative is. If my alternative is Narvaez, for sure, I'm not going to put much stock in it.

If my alternative is Maile, I'll just stick with the guy coming off a multi HR game.

Urias is looking a lot better at the plate over the past dozen games or so. Seems like he’s settling in as an MLB player.

815 OPS after that double

Why is Urias hitting before a few near auto outs? Dude one of our most consistent hitters lately.

Can't really think of a reason he should be hitting less than 5th. At least put him ahead of Garcia.
