Time to hit the exits, what a waste of time.

You’re there? That stinks to pick this one when most others have been such good games.

I made yesterday’s game too...so at least I can’t leave with that.

They all count the same, just gotta take our lumps today and use it to our advantage to give rest to anyone who needs it. I'll take 3 close wins followed by a blowout loss all season.

Exactly. There was going to be a cost for all of the injuries at some point. Taking 3 our of 4 against the Dodgers, regardless of today's score is a win.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

As long as those lumps don't mean physical lumps adding to the IL... :ohwell

Can some baseball historian confirm or deny that Alec Bettinger is the first MLB player to give up grand slams in each of his first two innings?

Has anyone given up 9 runs in a debut? 7? Has to be the first to even give up 2 in a game for a debut.

Allan Travers gave up 24 runs in his one and only game. That was a game where the rest of the Tigers boycotted the game after Ty Cobb had been suspended and they fielded a bunch of semi-pros.
