Any extended play from Maile and you can kiss a lot of offense good-bye.

Damn, this might hurt bad.

Team was pretty optimistic about Pina coming back quick-ish, right?

Frustrating. I mean, what can you do except keep going and hope things even out. Just keep scrapping, I guess.

Sure could use Nottingham about now.

Such a bummer.

Narvaez was basically our offense to this point. Just not a guy we can afford to lose.

Box has been very good this year.

Wouldn't Lucroy have to clear intake? And doesn't that take time woth COVID protocols? I'm all for it, but if Pina is going to be back in two weeks, I don't know. Just seems like you let Maile be his replacement level self and give Feliciano a few ABs.

How serious did the injury look?

They showed him on the bench taking off his own gear, so it wasn't anything debilitating. But having a catcher with hamstring issues certainly isn't ideal. I suspect he'll probably go on the IL, and Mario Feliciano will soon make his ML debut.

Or let Feliciano take his place, and let Maile get a few ABs.

I have no faith at all in Maile.

None.

Not terrible. Though most hamstring pulls don't look bad so not saying much. I'd be neither surprised if he's back in the lineup tomorrow nor if he's out two weeks.

Agree that it was impossible to tell. The part that worries me is that he was signaling for timeout and basically taking himself out of the game so quickly.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I’ll be very surprised if he is in the lineup tomorrow……pleasantly.

Yeah, I mean, Maile is as unexciting as it gets. Literally the definition of a replacement level player. But he probably doesn't hurt you over 7-10 games. Steady stopgap.

Depends on how they feel about Feliciano, I guess...

Welcome back, Jimmy Nelson.

I’ve seen Jimmy Nelson look pretty good at times out of the Dodgers bullpen this year, but tonight wasn’t one of them. He was erratic and got away with some bad pitches.

I'm sure Urias wants that 2-0 pitch back.

Going with JP back-to-back. Here's hoping.
