I missed the last half inning, did the broadcast mention why Avisail Garcia was removed?

I think it's just a chance to get Taylor into the game and give Garcia a break.

Which is great, just wanted to make sure it wasn’t due to injury.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Hiura has hit the ball hard today and nothing to show for it...hopefully he'll drop one in the gap or hit one out to get the confidence up. Have to think his time to turn this around at the MLB level is ticking.

For those wondering, Daniel Robertson has two career pitching appearances (and no runs allowed).

I see a lot of folks on Twitter calling for Vogelbach to pitch, but the position player I’d be legitimately the most interested in seeing pitch is Hiura. Obviously he’d be the last possible choice, but that’d be fascinating, IMO.

He'd make Willians Astudillo look like Nolan Ryan.

So obviously this one was never in doubt today and I don’t necessarily want to pile on the disappointment even further, but the fact the Brewers can’t solve Hendricks in a year when he’s struggled mightily is concerning. They have hit some hard at least.

Why not let Lindblom pitch until his arm falls off?

I think at some point on days like today, the thought process shifts from "we may as well get everything we can out of this guy" to "alright, he's still a human being."

I know days like this make stats a little deceiving, but there's no chance we aren't going to have one of the worst statistical pens in baseball after today.

I will be much more concerned if that's the case at the end of August.

It's still a little concerning now. They have numerous guys that pretty clearly aren't better options than your last guy in the pen. If Devin gets legitimately back that will help a great deal. I haven't really seen Perdomo pitch and I am eternally skeptical of guys with zero MLB track record but it's been so far so good for him. I hope he can be a legitimate option.

That's kind of different argument, though. Sure, it is completely fair to be concerned about the holes in the back of the pen. Most MLB teams are likely dealing with something similar. But I'm not concerned at all about where the pen ranks statistically on April 23, when a poor game such as today's can drastically skew any sort of rankings. I mean, the pen was coming off a series against the Padres where they gave up zilch. It's simply too small of a sample to take any rankings seriously. This unfortunately applied to the Brewers' stellar starting pitching numbers as well.
