2021-04-21: Brewers (Houser) at Padres (Lamet) [Brewers win, 4-2 -- Crew completes the series sweep]

Eye Black
In the category of pissing away a game, just saw the Twins literally throw one away in the last of the 10th. They had a two run lead with the bases loaded and the 2B fumbled an easy play that would have ended it. Then the next batter hit an easy grounder to third and the 3B threw wildly allowing the tying and winning runs to score. Ouch.

Twins gotta be sick to their stomach since they were shutout twice yesterday in doubleheader losses.

Brewer road sweeps at Petco are a pretty rare thing I'm guessing.

I loved when they did it to start the 2018 season (with Yelich and Cain making their Brewers debuts), but this one might be even sweeter considering the quality of competition.

And that they did it without Yelich and Cain (and Wong).

Seriously, somebody chuck a bat at those stupid kids and that adult with them.

Looks like they're having fun at a baseball game, who cares.

Normally it doesn’t bother me, but the way that that guy was flapping his arms was very bizarre and creepy. His waving took up a lot of room so I wonder if he wouldn’t be able to do that if the stadium was at full capacity.

I’m trying to stay reserved on the team this year

But they have been a fun follow so far

Alot more fun than last year., that's for sure. I don't think we'll ever experience another boring season like we did last year. That was not a fun team to watch.

The Reds entered the 9th inning up 3-0. The game is now in the 10th inning and they are down 8-3. They also had the would be game winning run thrown out at the plate in the bottom of the 9th.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Certainly makes me appreciate the Brewers finishing off the games they "should" win.

Reds bullpen, other than one guy, has been a dumpster fire. Starters have been hit and miss. When that offense comes back down to earth (which it appears it already has), they are going to be mediocre team.

Reds gave up 5 runs in the 10th inning to lose yesterday, and have given up 6 in the 10th today (so far).

A game that was 2-1 after 5 innings is now 14-8.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Can you weigh in on what it is like sitting in Gallagher Square? Is it worth watching a game from there? I will have a chance to go to Petco in a couple of weeks, and that section has the only tickets under $200 on StubHub! Crazy how expensive they are.

Sorry just seeing this now.

I wouldn't do it and that's generally what I hear. I think you'd be better off in a sports bar. It looked like the prices went down a lot by game day -- good seats at 80-100 and up top under 60. It has been a lot harder for visiting fans - I saw maybe 5 Brewer fans all day and there had been more and more before.

Check out if there are residence requirements - at one point I thought I saw it was California residents only. A good idea for Brewer/Cub series.
