Gearing up for being tired all week long with all these late starts. Hopefully, we get some good ball games and some W's!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

My plan is to DVR them past 10:30, then avoid all media until I watch them when I get home from work.

There is no chance anyone at work will tell me what happened as not one Brewer fan exists where I am employed.

It's a blessing and a curse.

SD lineup is out:

1 J. Profar LF

2 J. Cronenworth 2B

3 F. Tatis SS

4 M. Machado 3B

5 E. Hosmer 1B

6 W. Myers RF

7 T. Pham CF

8 V. Caratini C

9 J. Musgrove P

Both lineups are available above (in the opening post) now.

Grisham missed yesterday’s game and is out tonight, wonder if his previous hamstring injury flared up again.

EDIT: Grisham was apparently scratched yesterday with tightness in his left quad, so he’s presumably still dealing with that.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I want to complain about Jace Peterson but Robertson stinks too and Hiura can't play defense
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Vogelbomb hits 2 dingers yesterday, then is relegated to the bench.

Yup, I get the righty lefty thing, but what are his splits?

I would have thought Vogelbach's hold on a roster spot was most tenuous, until yesterday. Now if there is a player that is in danger of losing their spot I would say it's Robertson. It's not as if he's a wizard in the field, and so for he's offered next to nothing and they have several players with an identical skill set... ie Jace Peterson.

I wish Counsell would go with a "hot" guy more often than the "cold" guy. Kinda' annoying.

Goes back to something discussed here before...

Guys have big days, only to find benchtime the following day.

Makes no sense to take a guy who is obviously seeing the ball well, and bench them...

Probably should start a thread to see just how often it happens...

According to the MJS: Counsell went with what he considered a better defensive lineup in support of pitcher Brandon Woodruff. "You can play this game endlessly as a baseball fan, and I understand that," Counsell said. "We make decisions every day. This is a decision that the not letting in runs and scoring runs are both ways to win games. We have to make decisions on that every day."

It's weird that he does this with strikeout pitchers though. Anderson I understand. Less so with Woodruff/Burnes/Peralta.
