I would have given Suter one more inning. Still nine outs to get and this is an important shut down inning.

 

Both Goldschmidt and Arenado are right-handers though.

 

I don’t think Suter’s lefty-righty splits are so great that it would make that much difference especially with a 5 run lead.

I shouldn't say that bounce and ricochet is impossible because it just happened but that bounce and ricochet is impossible.

 

That's wild, right.

 

I would have thought that a ball that goes over the fence without ever hitting the ground would be a HR unless there is a specific ground rule that covers that.

Does it seem weird to anyone that Miller comes in down 3? That's a pretty low leverage spot, and he was in the 1-0 game two days ago too...maybe I'm still giving him too much credit...

 

Well, he certainly didn't do much positive (for the Cardinals).
