Oh good, Jace Peterson is back on this team and starting.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I think its time to start questioning how Stearns values position players because he sure seems to put little value on ability to hit. Its great that he values defense but how many glove first guys can you have in a lineup. This lineup is flat out embarrassing and not one that a supposed contender should be putting out there.

I am no fan of Robertson but if he can't start over Peterson he shouldn't be on the roster.

I feel like every time a player joins the Brewers from a callup they start the first game they can. I think it's CC's way of getting them into the action or whatever. I expected Peterson to start as soon as I heard he was with the team.

Just noticed the Brewers lineup graphic had both JBJ and Garcia listed as RF. That could be interesting.

Actually, Will Sammon of The Athletic just did a really good article on the history of lineup card exchanges, Baseball’s rich, colorful and (sometimes) profane history of the lineup card exchange

Not just “at Night” anymore.

For his career Martinez has been much tougher on right handed hitters than left handed hitters....

Vs. RHH: .225 BA / .292 OBP / .322 SLG

Vs. LHH: .261 BA / .348 OBP / .403 SLG

He has pitched nearly 1,900 plate appearances against both sides.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I like how the Cardinals fans were cheering when they thought Peterson struck out. Hey, that's great but did you see the ball skip like 50 feet away? Even if he struck out he easily reaches 1st and a run scores.
