Whether I play tonight or not is going to be a game-time decision, unfortunately. I had to have some work done on my feet yesterday, and I'm pretty much resorting to hobbling. Worst-case scenario, I can take care of scoring/lineups/base coaching... I'm supposed to be able to walk like a human again in a few days, so I don't need to be placed on the 15-day DL.

We're the visiting team, we'll be on the first base side.

We get to start off the season by playing the best team in the league. Let's see how much we've improved from last year. Kinda like the Brewers against the Cardinals.

Actually, it turns out Nicole was admitted to the hospital, so I won't be at the game at all tonight... Win one for the Nicole the Baker!

Hope she's alright, Brian.

Mis-type the "tonight" part? Since the game is tomorrow, and all.. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Just got back! 5-1 BF.net! This team is a bunch of gritty battlers. They even grinded. Saw Null and Ajay get a hit. Some nice D from Houle. Gritty pitching from I think Matt. I don't know really any of you so if you did something good I apologize( got there in the 3rd). Big win against the White House nemesis. 1-0 is just the beginning.

Also big shout out to Jimbo, who tried to keep score in right field. The ump, well, he disapproved and almost threw him out of the game! Not really.

Also nice to meet Colby and Jamie and others.

It's nice living 2 minutes from the field.

Great game everyone. I thought the pitching and defense was outstanding.

BrewerfanMatt, what week did you say you weren't going to make it? Week three? We're going to have to figure out who is pitching that game, as you were a strike throwing machine.

Nice meeting iluvlamp and having our own team photographer in tomwopat. Thanks to you both for making it out.

Brian, sorry you couldn't make it.

Good game tonight. We beat a pretty solid team. White House was pretty good last season and will be the same this year. Those guys make plays and hit the ball well.

We didn't give up a lot of walks, we made plays on defense, and kept putting the ball in play. Sound game all around. Good job guys.

Looks like we didn't let the Madison team down and made the two teams 1-0.

-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

BREWERFAN.NET WON IT FOR NICOLE!!!

Great game, everybody. Huge team effort -- holding White House to 1 run is like... throwing a no-hitter in real baseball. Or something.

Also, thank you to our boisterous crowd of 5! (or so)

Hey, I take my duties very seriously! I did it a couple of times last year without incident. The ump must have had an eagle eye (just ask Jamie). He also caught me wearing my watch and asked me to take it off. I had it on to time the defensive switches and forgot to remove it.

Kudos to colbyjack for being a fighter and a battler with the scorebook while I was in the field. Plus Rightomac covering for me while batting, he understands those fancy scorebooks better than the rest of us.
