That looked like a fair ball. Wow, that hurts.

Edit: Unfortunately the kind of call that could prove the difference in a game like this.

Totally agree, that call could very well lose this game for us... Should have been 2-0 with Shaw on 2nd.

Woody is pitching great.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Hiura is now 0-18 with 10 K’s. He is not even putting the ball in play at this point and looks lost. There is no reason he should be batting #2 when playing.

You can move him down and that's fine with me; however the 2nd best bat in the lineup is hitting .214. Not really going to make a difference until some people start hitting.

It very well may have been fair but you can't really make that call based on the camera angles available. You really can't get a good look unless you are right no the base like the first base umpire is.

It always amazes me in football and baseball when you have a replay and there isn't a camera angle at a critical view (i.e. right down the boundary). How hard is it to put cameras at key spots like that?

They do put cameras in the bases in the playoffs. Not sure why they can't figure out how to put one in the corner of the bag that could catch if the ball went over it.

Yeah, but that's ten times he DIDN'T ground into a double play.

The Brewers are about to be 0-2 in games in which their starting pitcher allowed no hits in 6 innings.

I can’t think of any reason for Urias to be anything other than 8th in the batting order.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

We have quite a few guys who should be hitting 8th in the order. Unfortunately, only one can.
