2021-04-03: Twins (Berrios) at Brewers (Burnes) [Brewers lose, 2-0 -- Burnes 6.1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 11 SO; Offense manages just one hit]

Baseball, in general, just is in a sad state with the types of games played and watched. The comeback on Thursday was great, but even that one too. Seeing the pitcher throw it to the catcher 98% of the time with so little balls in play or action on the bases. I like baseball and have a tough time not switching to watch basketball or Matlock. I can’t fathom nonBrewers or nonTwins fans sitting voluntarily through this for 3 hours.

Man, baseball can't win. Great ABs Thursday, and it's pace of play. Excellent, crisp pitching and a quick pace, and it's too many Ks.

It’s not that baseball can’t win, it is the fact that a certain segment of fans (of all teams) just aren’t happy if they can’t be complaining about something.

Offensive performances like Saturday's will happen once in a while. I think we all get that. But when that kind of performance happens in the second game of a season that followed a season of a year long ineptitude at the plate, most notably Hiura and Yelich, people are rightfully going to be concerned and thinking "Uh oh, here we go again."

I think yesterday was just two pitchers dominating their opponents and is not a sign of things to come for the Brewers. I am confident that the Brewers will have a better offense this season than last season. The bad thing about the guys having a good spring is that when the season starts, their hot stretch is over with (if you believe that type of thing).

Thursday was a great game with taking walks and getting hits that weren’t home runs. Yesterday we ran into a pitcher that had his filthy stuff working for him.

Yeah that may be true, but watch Berrios get rocked in his next start.
