I’m not sure Berrios was that great tonight. Anybody can strike these guys out.

Barrios was really good tonight. He’s been on the brink of developing into an ace pitcher for awhile. He’s also shutdown the Brewers in the past, as well as the new additions such as Jackie Bradley Jr. who came into the game 1-for-12 against Berrios.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

The Wisconsin kid looks to be a good one. Should fit right in with our pen.

Brewers offense looked pretty dang terrible though.

ummm, yeah, it's the 2nd game of the season...Very unlike you to be so negative.

Every season usually starts like this. Inconsistent. We just have to let this team find its groove.

Just looking at the schedule, it looks to me like April and May feature the toughest opponents. Of course, it never really works out like that, but I'm looking really for the Crew to tread water out of the gate. Stealing one Thursday helps.

Brewers have seen the Twins best relievers 2 of 3 days. Looks like the bullpen advantage will be on the home side. Be nice to score first tomorrow.

Just got home from the game. So disheartening to watch pinch hitters strike out looking. Makes me crazy. Burnes looked great, but Berrios was better. At least it was quick compared to Thursday. On opening day my DVR ran out after the 7th inning. Brewers third was 24 minutes long, Maeda threw 32 pitches, and Milwaukee only got one run! Two days in, and baseball is bumming me out.

Hopefully the Brewers lack of offense can be explained by facing high end pitchers. They needed help in the form of errors, a bases loaded walk, and the extra inning free runner to score on Thursday (just one earned run) and then nothing today. Seeing all of the strikeouts, especially from Yelich and Hiura, is really disheartening.

I’m looking for some signs that last year was a fluke.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I think tomorrow will be a different story. The current Brewers hitters have a lifetime .332 BA / .366 OBP / .520 SLG (.887 OPS) against Michael Pineda over 80 combined plate appearances.

Coming into tonight they had been very bad against Berrios, and that rang true once again.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Baseball, in general, just is in a sad state with the types of games played and watched. The comeback on Thursday was great, but even that one too. Seeing the pitcher throw it to the catcher 98% of the time with so little balls in play or action on the bases. I like baseball and have a tough time not switching to watch basketball or Matlock. I can’t fathom nonBrewers or nonTwins fans sitting voluntarily through this for 3 hours.

Two good pitchers started.

Suter's been very good over his career.

Offenses will have those kinds of days over a 162-game season. Too bad it coincided with a near-gem by Burnes.

The Twins have been one of the best teams in baseball the last 2 seasons and the Brewers haven't looked outclassed whatsoever these last two games. So far I'm feeling pretty good about the team. It's never fun getting shut out on 1 hit but it's only 1 game.

I got to hand it to you, no one can work Suter into a conversation completely unrelated to him as well as you can.

Man, baseball can't win. Great ABs Thursday, and it's pace of play. Excellent, crisp pitching and a quick pace, and it's too many Ks.
