Yea for sure, bottomline the D should've gotten it done. And like I said I don't know Buffalo's kicker or if that's something they do. But it's very common in the league to do on purpose these days(not just at crunch time), including pushing it to one side of the field so the D knows where to target. It's one of the things players have pointed out as an unintended consequence of the safety move to move up the kickoffs. Maybe Buffalo just hasn't done that all year though, so yea I'm fine with them deciding this was their best route, they know their team better than me. In an ideal world though, if they had skillset/practice/history in their repertoire it would've been the best play in the moment. But I have no idea if they do or not.

I also don't know for the life of me why the Bills called defenses designed to protect the sidelines when the Chiefs had timeouts to work with. It makes no sense.
