I think my issue is that the fans continue to complain about the same things with Gute, despite the fact that he's proven himself right about 99% of the time thus far. Sooner or later, you'd think the fans would get on board.

If Gute was right 99% of the time, Rodgers wouldn't want out of Green Bay now.

Does he actually want out, or is this posturing? Seems an important question that still needs to play out.

And even if he does want out, it doesn't mean they're wrong on Love. I guess I trust their evaluation on Love more than the conclusion fans have drawn based on the zero actual insight they have on Love so far.

Orlando Brown to KC for a 1st, 3rd and 4th.

Man...KC is not playing around. They're not going to play it conservatively with their young stud QB. They go out and trade for a 25-year-old LT who didn't allow a QB hit or sack last season and is a great run blocker as well.

I wonder what that's like, having an aggressive GM that will help out his stud quarterback.

Wouldn't be a Packer offseason without fans complaining about the front office despite how good they are at their jobs.....

It's a pretty valid complaint. I've been as big of a defender of the Packers FO as anyone, but they're neareing the end of the road with Rodgers and they just have not been as aggressive as nearly any other team has been in a similar situation or would be.

Maybe it's due to the lack of an owner, I don't know, but just look at what other teams are doing? KC is drafting well...AND they're going out and acquiring players to fill the holes they have.

However, Packers’ Twitter can be toxic.

Fixed. ;) I only bother with Twitter when someone here posts something interesting. Social media on the whole can be pretty toxic, but the format of Twitter seems to bring out the worst in people. :(

I'm worried there is an ELE that happens...and then a few hundred or thousands of years from now aliens come here...they find some books, but the one thing that survies is NSA surver farms. And this leads them to Social Media...at which point, they peruse some Facebook, Twitter and decide, "yup, they DEFINITELY needed to go."

Viking friends of mine (yeah, I run in tough circles...) were certain they were going to trade up and get a new QB. One falls in their lap and they trade back... They won't be happy.

As a Packers fan, I'd have been much happier with their draft had they taken Mac Jones instead of adding picks and still getting a potential franchise LT(finally).

I thought most teams had a solid draft. Minus the Fightin Grudens and the Panthers.

I'd agree. Leatherwood makes absolutely no sense to me. He seems like MAYBE he's a RT but most likely a guard and they just gutted their OL when they didn't need to.

I think the Falcons are going to regret taking a TE over a franchise LT, but I at least understand why they took Pitts. He is a unique player.

I think the fact that Gute has expressed regret about how be handled last year's draft and has spoken about the Rodgers situation when asked is very indicative that there's some definite substance to this and it isn't just posturing. That's not to say he'll never play for us again, but there's clearly more going on here than Rodgers just posturing for a little better contract leverage.

Who is going to play QB for Carolina? If you're going to basically pay a guy's salary for next season, I would think it's better to at least have a capable backup than just an extra 6th round pick. Not unless Bridgewater was just a terrible locker-room guy.

Wow, with all the Trey Lance coverage going on sports media, you would think he is the generational talent and not Trevor Lawrence.

Trey Lance is the 100MPH thrower who can't find home plate. The Niners hope to teach him control... Good Luck with that.

Talent or no talent, but he must be a huge risk given the minimal amount of games he has played. I kind of want him to succeed given he is a midwest guy and from a smaller school. But I also would love to see him flop just because it is the 49ers...

Is that just because he played at a small school?

SF gets a guy who's faster than Lamar, has a huge arm and...from what I've seen, a pretty accurate one. And he gets the added benefit of being able to sit for a year behind Jimmy G.

I'd have much rather seen them take Jones instead of Lance or Fields.

RGIII with some bush-league comments about Kirk Cousins, especially considering that they came into the league the same year but Cousins has 190 career TD passes to Griffin's 43. Hell, Cousins had 35 TD passes last year compared to Griffin's career total of 43.

Who's the one who has been sitting around collecting paychecks?

Is Aaron Rodgers the elite HOF QB he became if he was thrown into the fire in SF at #1 overall like Alex Smith was?

No. Alex Smith got kind of screwed in San Francisco. 5 different offensive coordinators in his first 5 years. Changed offensive coordinators part way thorough his 6th season. Had a new head coach and 7th offensive coordinator in his 7th season. His 8th season he had the same coordinator for the start of a second season in a row for only the second time but got injured and lost his job to Kaepernick. I don't see how anyone could succeed during that dysfunctional mess of years in San Fran.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

The real question is if Alex Smith could've beat Rodgers/Kaepernick in the 2014 playoffs and made my only playoff game live a better experience? ;)

This gets weirder as time goes on.

I, like most people, wanted to give Favre the benefit of the doubt when this story originally came out (believing it was mostly due to poor talent management). Now I’m skeptical.

Tebow back in the NFL as a TE is pretty funny to me.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I hope he is somewhat relevant at it. He entire career in sports is kind of crazy. Everyone thought the baseball thing was comical and then he went out there and was somewhat competent. He wasn't good, but then again he hadn't played baseball since like high school. Heck in AA he had an OPS north of .700...better ballplayer than Michael Jordan.

He probably won't be good, but I give him credit for doing his own thing on his terms.
