The Rams just did what the Packers could not, got knocked down by adversity and got back up off the mat and punched back.

To be fair. It’s a bit easier to punch back when it’s not zero and snowing

And when the opposing team makes a very questionable blitz call when the only thing preventing overtime is not giving up a deep ball.

Stafford outplayed Brady

Still have to make a play, and Stafford deserves credit for that.

Stanford haters punching the air right now.

Why? It's a pretty good school.

Hmmmmm...I recall a questionable blitz call made by one San Francisco D Coordinator Demeco Ryans. I recall Alan Lazard coming wide open on a Crosser. I recall EQSB coming wide open to the Post Fade route. I also recall, our QB colossally missing the play. Both teams made questionable blitz calls. Only one team paid for it.

I found myself today realizing I am 100% rooting for Cincy. I did not foresee this development.

Yeah I'd be ok with that one too.

I just saw McPherson's stats today for Cincy. I watched last night's game. This kid...he is an assassin. No missed FG on the road the entire season? 11 of 13 (!!!) from 50 plus on the season. Hit a 54 yd fg in regulation yesterday. Wins it on a dagger 52 yd fg? This kid is amazing. Everything I've always wanted in GB.

I know the cope of the weekend is probably going to be that the Rams would have pounded the Packers but I just don't see it. If we had somehow survived last night in the ugliest of possible ways, I'd have felt really good about reaching the Super Bowl. This is going to hurt for a long time. I thought last year was a great chance. This year was better.

It honestly doesn't make any difference for me. I'd have no real reason to believe it. On paper they should have won yesterday and they should beat the Rams at Lambeau. In reality they couldn't figure out a way to win when the defense played the game of their lives and the opposing QB was terrible. If they had somehow hung on last night, it would have been pure dumb luck, Maurice Drayton would still be our ST coordinator next weekend and I'd have no reason to think we'd be any better prepared than we were yesterday and that our ST wouldn't cost us the game in some spectacular fashion.

All these years of playoff futility is was said universally that if the Packers had an even average defense they would have at least two more championships. Well, they had a better than average defense this year. There's no more excuses. Rodgers has to shoulder his share of the blame and the excuses for him have come to a halt.

Well, both things can be true. If they'd had consistently better defense, they may have more titles. Maybe not. But having a good defense for a year or two and not winning doesn't negate the central point. Obviously the more well rounded you are consistently the more chances you will have.

One would think that by sheer luck alone, they'd have two by now though. This year really stinks though, because they were quite good. There are a lot of playoff losses in there where they met or exceeded expectations based on the roster. This is one where I feel they truly fell short. That always hurts a bit more. This team was good. I think better than last year. And last year was better than the year before. They just can't put it together.
