the dumbest thing Skip Bayless has ever typed.... maybe the dumbest thing anyone has ever typed

Skip is definitely the lesser of the two Baylesses...and every new hot take he has widens that gap

I know people that know Rick. Let's just say that the general public aren't the only ones that dislike Skip.

You and me both, lol

Not having to deal with Bosa and Warner will be helpful.

I would assume there's a very good chance we'll see one if not both of them.

I'm just saying it as a possibility. We'll just have to wait and see on their prognoses. Concussions can linger on for a few weeks. Plus it will be a short week for them.

6 was fine. 6 actually "felt" right too. Maybe my perception is wrong, but it felt like we still had plenty of good first round matchups. These games are just gross, and not compelling at all.

Take out the 7 seeds Pittsburgh and Philly and this was a very good playoff field.

I guess the only effective difference has been forcing the 2 seeds to play a mediocre team to get to the divisional round instead of just getting a bye, but these 7 seeds haven't been playoff worthy.

The funny thing is we talked all season about "how important" it was now to get the 1 seed and not the 2, and get that bye..... but honestly playing a team in the WC round that has no business being in the playoffs is pretty much a bye. The only downside is missing the week of rest, and the potentiality of getting guys hurt playing that extra game.

I think bad games are more random than due to any format we may or may not like. The only real change is that 2 plays 7 rather than getting a week off. The other games are what they'd have been anyway. It's not the format that caused NE to lose by 40.

I like the change. Getting the top seed is more valuable.

As far as which game was at night, I would imagine NBC didn't have the broadcast rights. I'm no expert but I'm pretty certain networks get a set number of teams/games to "claim" in their contracts. CBS probably had dibs on SF/DAL (or what was deemed the NFC marquee for WC weekend) so once that was out, the viewing audiences of these two are definitely the ones a network would want against any other game this weekend.

I think that's a monumental stretch. It's not little league here. It's another week where anybody can pull a hammy. I don't think that's a small thing at all.
