one team wanted to lose worse than the other

When they got it down to 14 seconds they should have taken 2 or 3 shots at the endzone and that's it. That was ugly.

No idea why they would do that right there. They were plenty close. I mean heck you could argue 10 more yards was worse. It’s almost too far for a real play to the end zone and to close to loft a good ball up for a Hail Mary.

That's what I don't get. They had time for 2 shots, unless they completed a ball in-bounds. I don't know if that was called from the bench (it's possible.......McCarthy), but that was incredibly dumb. Just incredibly dumb.

That was nuts, I don't think they should have moved that spot, it's not what we have seen on replay before and I thought they moved it a couple of inches too far which was of course just enough. How do the niners play that desperation drive so bad? My god.

If you are dreading the Packers playing SF in Lambeau in late January, you don't think the Packers are all that good.

Could SF beat them, yeah. Sure. So could the Rams, so can the Bucs. We have to beat someone good anyway. I'd rather play Saturday.

All around, the Packers are a better team than the niners. I don't like how the Packers defend the run, which is what the niners do well. but the Packers are a better team.

I don't think anyone is dreading it. It's fine. It's probably the best option remaining in the NFC. They all have reasons not to want to play them. SF is good, we should win but it's not a slam dunk of course, no one gets to play the Jaguars in January. But yeah, it'll be Saturday and then Bucs/Rams or Cards Sunday. Probably Bucs/Rams which I think is a very good matchup.

I didn't really hate the decision to take off running but he's gotta have awareness of the seconds where he has to slide or immediately head for the sidelines. It's not the time to fight for an extra yard.

I actually thought SF was going to be flagged for hitting him on the slide.

Do Packers fans start crying before the game is even decided? Geez that was pathetic. That CBS color guy was so annoying and seemed to be rooting for the Cowboys, and here I thought we caught a break no Aikman.

Edit: That was Romo, right? That explains it.

the dumbest thing Skip Bayless has ever typed.... maybe the dumbest thing anyone has ever typed

They likely could have run a 7-10 yard out that would take 4 or 5 seconds and still had enough time for two shots to the end zone (8 seconds for one of those).

Not really, SF changed to an umbrella. They made it pretty obvious they were no longer going to give up the sideline. Dallas was dumb enough to do exactly what SF gave them, instead of just taking their shots to the end zone

Skip is definitely the lesser of the two Baylesses...and every new hot take he has widens that gap

He's not called Skip Clueless for nothing.

I know people that know Rick. Let's just say that the general public aren't the only ones that dislike Skip.
