Voice of the NFL on tv for a long time. RIP coach.

GOAT in terms of color analysts through the era that saw the NFL explode in terms of popularity, and he was also a great coach - There aren't too many other names that are more associated with football than Madden.

Missed the special on Madden on Christmas that Fox broadcast, and will now have to find time to watch it...RIP

NFL and NFLPA agree to reduce COVID isolation time to 5 days, provided COVID-positive players are asymptomatic or even with mild symptoms that are resolving - regardless of vaccination status.

In other words, "Let them play!"

Players will not admit mild symptoms, and will do all they can to be asymptomatic. No way they will admit anything if they are going by the honor system.

Exactly. You can't get players to even admit to maybe having a concussion, so they sure aren't going to report flu-like symptoms.

I think it was the Eagles who have decided to separate their QB Room. Surprising other teams hadn't thought of that sooner.

Matt Flynn got into a Twitter scuffle with a Seahawks fan. I’m paraphrasing:

Flynn: Gee Whiz, with all the QB injuries and COVID roster jams, I should start training again (obvious sarcasm).

Indignant Seahawks Fan: Remember when Seattle gave you all that money?

Flynn: Hell yes. That was awesome!

Just got an ESPN notification that Kirk Cousins tested positive for COVID and is out against the Packers this Sunday.

So they have to play a no QB team, and the Lions? lol

Looks like a done deal.

It would be truly awesome for the Bears to pick up a couple of wins vs. bad teams to play them out of top-ish draft positioning.

Would only really impact their picks after the 1st round. The Giants are in a weird position if they win today it improves and worsens their draft picks in the 1st round and if they lose today it improves and worsens their draft picks in the 1st round.

The Giants own the Bears 1st round pick. For the Bears at least their record for the 1st round draft pick doesn't really matter.

Stafford with another pick six. Maybe, just maybe, he was part of the problem in Detroit.

He's gone and the Lions still suck so I doubt it.

I didn't say he was the problem, just he was part of the problem. Maybe not the first or second reason why, but probably the third.

Stafford with his third turnover of the game, with a poor effort to protect the ball. The Rams aren't going anywhere this year and their all in gamble is going to cost them dearly. I could see them trending downward the next couple years.

A downfall is inevitable given all the draft picks they've traded away

LA teams going all in to not win is fun to watch. Angels, Dodgers (Scherzer, Trae Turner this year), Lakers (If you are over 30, we will take you), and now the Rams. Such a shame.
