Ok nevermind on Golladay he got 4/76 from the Giants. Well alright then.

So the Giants just gave #1 money to a #2 receiver. I'm fine with this.

I don't think so. I think he's a legit #1. That is a discount in a year with a healthy cap.

What is up with this depressed WR market? 8M on a 1 year deal for JuJu? I bet Allen Robinson and Chris Godwin are glad they signed that franchise tag. Must have seen the writing on the wall. No way Golladay gets that 18.5M a year he wants.

Really does make you wonder what a guy like Golden Tate (I know, I know) would get. It would seem like a guy like him would do well with Rodgers getting him the ball.

Remember when I posted the little from PFF projecting Will Fuller to the Packers for 5 years and just shy of 90 million?

Now...that always sounded crazy, but it shows you how bad the FA market is.

I wonder if we might consider AB for a discount? I doubt he'll get more than 2-3 million guaranteed. You'd have to really be secure in your leadership, but that's a chance to bring in a guy who still looks like a #1 WR'er for very little money.

Fuller to Denver. We're going to settle for taking Kevin King back, aren't we?

I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. Take away the Tampa game and we'd be thrilled to be able to bring him back cheap.

That Tampa game he was hurt...he was put in a very difficult situation, and he played poorly. But if you draft a CB you can bring along, plus you should be expecting Keke, Savage and Gary to take another step. I can live with King being a weak spot on our defense. He's capable of playing better and he's not capable of playing much worse than we saw him play in the NFCCG.

I think King has gotten a bit of a bum rap but I don't feel that strongly about him to disagree too much with those that want to move on from him. I'm just saying I don't think it would be the end of times if he came back.

AB on the other hand... Not with a 42-1/2 foot pole. I don't trust him to not be a total headcase, distraction and waste of time and money.

Yeah, I have no interest in Brown.

Yeah, I'm not in love with King or anything. I just don't think he's AS bad as his performance in the NFCCG would suggest. He was pretty good in '19. If he has to sign a one year contract, maybe he has a breakout year and meanwhile we've drafted Samuel or whoever in the 2nd round(or Newsome in the first) and we can move on from him.

As for AB...I certainly get it, but he went to Tampa, was very good and was so quiet, people kinda overlooked the fact that he became Brady's go-to guy. I don't like him...but I would like to win more than I dislike him.

Not that we need him to win, I'm actually very happy with the offense outside of one OT.

Yeah, people tend to forget King showed up as questionable with a back issue right before the NFCCG her performed so poorly with - the biggest knock on him has been his ability to stay on the field due to injury, and then he likely guts it out to get on the field and gets torched.

Wish him the best, and not particularly bummed the Packers moved on - hopefully they find a guy to compliment Alexander on the other side, potentially a veteran who still has some tread on the tires that wants to go to a contender. I still am intrigued by the thought of Richard Sherman over there....Casey Hayward perhaps (despite a decline in his play)?

Well, putting him in man coverage without any help was also pretty brutal.

As for Sherman...I just can't see it. He's been a guy who's played in a cover 3 scheme or a Tampa 2 most of his career. Both in our scheme last year and the one Berry ran, they rely on a lot of man coverage. I can see Heyward back. Not playing outside, but he was always smart and instinctual in the slot.

Not sure they have moved on from him quite yet. I could see a 1 year deal for cheap. 2.5 counts just 950 against the cap this year. I don't know if anyone's offering him more or not.

According to this story, Watson reached out to the first accuser on Instagram to request a massage ... because that is how normal people schedule appointments* (sarc):

* edit: maybe that is how some normal people make appointments these days and I’m just getting old

The ones that come to your house they do. The one I got over the weekend I did it over Instagram. Though the one I ordered she is a private masseuse and doesn't work for a company well she has her own company but no website or anything like that. She operates completely on Instagram and Twitter. Yes I know how this sounds.

I also got my last haircut from someone from Instagram.

OK - let’s assume booking massages and other (legal) services on Instagram is normal. Booking massages from 15 different individuals on Instagram is still odd, right?

Yes 15 is odd I guess you could explain 5 by him not liking the service received. But even at 10 that is an alarming number.

For some reason I had thought King signed somewhere else when I posted above....oops!

Now that King is back, I'd imagine they try to bolster the CB room through the draft and not another free agent signing.

I haven't ever hired a personal trainer to give me a massage, but this does not sound normal:

Doe 15 alleged in her lawsuit that when Watson “eventually flipped over onto his back, the towel fell off [and] … Watson was completely naked and exposed his ***** to the Plaintiff. Watson also moved his ***** onto Plaintiff’s hand. Watson had ***-********* leaking out of his *****, which got onto Plaintiff’s hand. Plaintiff felt like she wanted to vomit.”

I don't think that's really that odd. An NFL QB is getting them probably daily and after workouts.

It IS odd that you'd hire a licensed personal trainer to give you a massage...

Jaran Reed expected to be cut by Seattle.

Would be yet another fit with the Packers. A near perfect fit...though likely going to cost more than the Packers can afford.

That doesn't sound good at all for Watson. Phone and text records are going to show that this is either all smoke in the wind or not.

Hard not to see SF bouncing back and clearly they're feeling they could be a solid QB away from a SB win. But man, that's the type of trade that destroys a franchise if you choose the wrong guy.

Those draft picks will look mighty nice when we trade Rodgers to Miami next year. /Half Blue :)

Dolphins just traded with the Eagles, too.

So to get this straight....

Dolphins now have #6 and #18 this year. Next year they don't have their own pick, but do have San Francisco's first-round pick. The following year they'll have their own plus SF's.

49ers have the #3 pick this year and lose their next two first-round picks.

Eagles have the #12 pick this year plus theirs and Miami's first rounder next year.

and some later-round stuff moved around that I can't keep up with.

Makes sense all the way around. Miami gives Tua a real shot to win the starter's job this coming season. #3 overall is too high to hold with good OL and especially good WRs later in the round.

Eagles do the same thing with Hurts, giving him a chance to win the position yet high enough to get him a shiny new WR. And if not they've got two picks next year to move up.

SF, clearly, is high on both Fields and the BYU guy, enough to dump Jimmy G. for whichever they get.
